Heath false brome grassland

The gentle, wide gorge is dominated by Heath false brome grass, Adonido-Brachypodietum pinnatae. Compared to the slopes with spurge grasslands, the conditions here are milder - less sunshine, higher air and soil humidity, weaker winds. The most numerous plant here is Heath false brome Brachypodium pinnatum - a compact tufted grass growing in patches, which, apart from xerothermic grasslands, can also be found in the sward of luminous forests.  Apart from Heath false brome grass, meadow sage Salvia pratensis and field eryngo Eryngium campestre - one of the most interesting and numerous species in Owczary.
