Steppe Scorzonera

Steppe Scorzonera Scorzonera purpurea, a very rare perennial species, characteristic of xerothermic grasslands of the class Festuco-Brometea. Its pink, delicate, vanilla-scented inflorescences open before noon. In Owczary Scorzonera occurs only on one, south-western, well-sunlit slope. It is under strict species protection, being placed on the Red List of Plants and Fungi with the status of an endangered plant.
